Useful Network Tools from VPNLab.io

We have collected a set of utilities in one section that will be useful for both ordinary VPN users and technical specialists. The section is constantly being improved: we continue to enhance the code and interfaces, but these tools already solve major diagnostic and security verification tasks.

1. Security: IP and DNS Leak Test

The most important tool in our collection is the DNS Leak Test. It is built competently: it uses our own server to process requests in real-time. This is the best way to check if your VPN is truly hiding you, or if data is «leaking» to the ISP.

Paired with it is the classic IP Lookup, which instantly shows your current IP address, ISP, and how your location is determined by websites.

2. Site Information: WHOIS and DNS Lookup

If you need to find out details about a domain, use this block. WHOIS lookup will help find the domain owner and registration date, while DNS lookup will show technical records (A, MX, NS). This is useful for webmasters when configuring servers and for those who want to check a suspicious resource.

3. Connectivity and Availability: Ping and Port Check

Tools for checking connection quality:

  • Ping host: Checks node availability and response time (latency). Useful for gamers and diagnosing connection drops.
  • Port check: Allows you to find out if a specific port is open on a remote server or on your IP.
Summary: We have created a base of necessary network tools. We advise paying special attention to the DNS Leak check service — it will help you be confident in your protection. We will continue to develop this section by adding new features.
