How the match is calculated
Every ticked criterion carries a weight: tasks 28%, platforms 24%, features 22%, device count 20%, server countries 18%, priority 12%. The percentage is the weighted share of conditions met, not a score for the service. With nothing ticked, the list shows the catalog rating.

Where do the numbers come from?
From our catalog: servers, countries, devices, refund window and prices are updated in the same place as on the catalog page, so the sections never disagree.
Why does a service with a lower percentage rank higher in the catalog?
The catalog sorts by overall rating, the finder only by your criteria. A generally strong service easily loses to a narrow request like "servers in Japan and router support".
What does the cross next to a criterion mean?
That this particular condition is not met. We show matched and unmatched criteria in full, so you can see exactly what you give up by taking the top result.
